Summer Break and a Vampire (夏休みとバンパイア, Natsuyasumi to Banpaia) is the ninth episode of Season One and the ninth overall episode of Rosario + Vampire. It aired on February 28, 2008 in Japan.

Finding Kyoko's information useless, Ayumu is told by Dai-sensei to seek out the strongest underworld warrior, Naegleria Nebiros, who is an old friend of Eucliwood's. After agreeing to attend one of Saras' concerts, Ayumu meets up with Naegleria and ends up having to help her draw her doujinshi, with the others later joining him. As they learn the story is about Eucliwood and how things might've been for her, the gang become determined to complete it but get set back thanks to Sera's cooking. After completing a fair amount of work, Ayumu manages to make it to Saras' concert before it ends. After the concert, Saras takes Ayumu out to the roof and gives him a carton of coffee milk. When Ayumu is distracted while talking to Saras, Saras sucks on Ayumu's straw, thus indirectly marrying Ayumu according to the Vampire Ninja's custom. The end of the episode shows Naegleria and Chris hanging out together, proving that they have a friend-like relationship.
The ninth episode of the Interface series was published by 'u m a m i' on September 15th, 2018. The episode continues soon after the events of Episode 08. It features 3D animation and the first appearance of Chef, voiced by Yoshi Ando.
The episode opens with a shot of Chef preparing fish over the counter of the restaurant. Henryk enters, with Mischief shapeshifted onto him in the same manner as in Episode 02 and Episode 05. Chef tells Mischief that the restaurant is closed, and to come back at 5. Mischief- still in Henryk's form- and Chef have some back-and-forth, with Chef speaking both English and Japanese. Chef remarks that Mischief is a parasite, to which he responds, "Guilty". The two have a conversation about camouflage as another patron enters the establishment.

Twin Peaks centers on the investigation into the murder of schoolgirl Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), in the small rural town in Washington state after which the series is named. In this episode, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent Dale Cooper (MacLachlan) continues his investigation on Laura Palmer's murder together with Sheriff Truman (Ontkean), and FBI Special Agent Albert Rosenfield (Ferrer). In the meanwhile, Donna Hayward (Lara Flynn Boyle) and Audrey Horne (Sherilyn Fenn) continue their separate attempts at investigating, respectively by taking Laura's place in the Meals on Wheels, her community service, and by working undercover in the "One Eyed Jack's", a brothel where Laura has worked in the past.

Critical response to the episode was positive. In his review for The A.V. Club, Keith Phipps noted that the episodes "sows a lot of seeds for future harvest", particularly citing the references to Windom Earle, Harold Smith and Garland Briggs' UFO work. Phipps praised the scene in which BOB appears to Maddy, calling it "one of those images that capture what the show does well" but criticised Audrey's plotline, giving the episode as a whole a B+ rating.[1] AllRovi's Andrea LeVasseur has noted that "Episode 9" "contains the first of many significant references to owls throughout the series", rating it four out of five stars.[12] DVD Talk's Jamie S. Rich gave a mixed response and commented that "side stories take a lot of the spotlight in the first half of the second season and suggest that Twin Peaks might have had a longer life as a regular cliffhanger serial had they abandoned the need for the series through-line."[13] Nerdist's Eric Diaz rated the episode 3.5 burritos[nb 2] out of 5 and called it "the least memorable of the six Lynch directed episodes", praising the episode as a whole but criticizing the scene in which James, Maddy and Donna sing together as "a black mark over an otherwise great episode."[14]

If you'd have told me after watching Severance Season 1 Episode 1 that the season finale would be filled with edge-of-your-seat suspense, I wouldn't have believed you, but here we are.
